Her birthday is on March 29, 1985, in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her name at birth. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is Mexican and American. She has always been very active in sports. Gerina started playing golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her studies in high school. As a senior in high school, she won her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. In addition, she was an athlete in volleyball who played at the national level. She was entered the University of Texas. Her senior year was a success. she was the winner of every single tournament that she played in. Through her time at UTEP, she was named Conference USA individual champion player of the year and the UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.

Brockport's two-sport athlete was part of both the lacrosse as well as women's soccer teams. Norman was keyed as an outstanding athlete at Brockport which was where she primarily played in the defensive part of the ball. In her role as a defender, Norman excelled in blocking balls. She also made smart decision-making when it came time to assess an opponent's offense. The freshman brings a number of great attributes in the Lady Lakers in 2012. She is a tenacious thinker and is able to play at an exceptional quality when it comes to defense. This is a big advantage heading into her first season at Finger Lakes. In the coming season, her potential will be put displayed as it's considered that she has the necessary tools to become an impactful player in the future. Norman is currently majoring in sciences and liberal arts.
