Kathie Lee Gifford hosted the 4th hour of TODAY with Hoda Kotb from 2008 until April 5, 2019. Entertainment Weekly has referred to the Gifford/Kotb time as time-based television. USA Today has dubbed TODAY's Happy Hour. Gifford created TODAY the musical in 2014. The show featured its cast and crew and she created a weekly song to promote Everyone Has a Story. In the year 2015 she was elected as a member of the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame. Prior to NBC News Gifford served as the co-host of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee for 15 years, where she was awarded eleven Emmy nominations. Also, she was reporter on Good Morning America.
